- NO-PLAY: HURRICANE NATE IS MOVING TOWARD GULF COAST SOUTHERN UNITED STATES. CONTROLLERS ARE TO ADVISE ALL STATIONS TO REMAIN AWARE AND YIELD TO REAL-WORLD/NO-PLAY TRAFFIC.
- BLACK SWAN 17 INTENSE ACTIVITY PERIOD STARTS 071000Z OCT 2017.
- BLACK SWAN 17 Interoperability Net will operate as needed on Ch 4 during Intense Activity period 7-8 OCT.

- Controllers are to advise players of the following EXERCISE INFO according to their procedures:
- SEVERE WEATHER IS FORECAST FOR REGION FROM IOWA THROUGH ILLINOIS AND INDIANA TO OHIO THROUGH SUN 8 OCT.
- DEVELOPING SYSTEMS ARE EXPECTED TO BRING STRONG STORMS, INCLUDING DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL, AND FLASH FLOODING.
- A FAST-MOVING STORM IS MOVING THROUGH SOUTH DAKOTA WITH STRONG WINDS IN EXCESS OF 80 MPH. THOSE STORMS ARE MOVING THROUGH IOWA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA AND OHIO TODAY.
- SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGHOUT IOWA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, AND OHIO.
- FORCES ARE CALLED TO MONITOR FOR DEVELOPMENTS AND ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS.
