Exercise OPBULLs 12-28 were injects that got increasingly specific about the weather situation: a derecho moving its way from Iowa through Ohio. Those are available on the BLACK SWAN 17 OPBULL Archive. We resume posting of OPBULLs with 29, a summary of activity in the COTN operating area.

THIS MESSAGE IS EXERCISE TRAFFIC.

    1. SKYWARN nets in Franklin Co and Hamilton Co activated. Operators now taking damage reports.
    2. CERT active in Franklin Co for damage assessment operations.
    3. Extensive damage in Ohio. Latest estimates over 300,000 customers without power. Roads blocked, in some cases flooding.
    4. Infrastructure including radio repeater systems returning to service in Central and Southern Ohio.
    5. Sheltering operations getting underway in multiple counties throughout Ohio.
    6. Traffic stations needed for originating outbound welfare traffic from shelters. Stations are advised to notify their net managers of availability and await further instructions per request of local EMAs.
