Creating a Simulated Emergency Test (SET) Session Report

The ARRL Simulated Emergency Test (SET) has special reporting requirements. Each session needs to be reported as follows:
  • Number of stations checked in on emergency power
  • Number of stations checked in as new hams
  • Net Control Station
  • Section Net Liaison(s)
  • Volume of EMERGENCY traffic
  • Volume of Priority traffic
  • Volume of Welfare traffic
  • Volume of Routine traffic
  • Volume of TEST-EMERGENCY traffic
  • Volume of TEST-Priority traffic
  • Volume of TEST-Welfare traffic
In addition please be sure to note the time of the session since each day of the SET will have multiple nets. You might find that putting the data into a spreadsheet will be helpful for compiling the report. An example from a 2013 SET session is online. Send the complete net reports to for compilation.
